The Power of Pink

November 01, 2011

Brighton JewelryThe Foundation launched The Pink Brazaar this October with the help of Clark Chevrolet, BMP Radio, Avila Plastic Surgery, XCell Orthopeadics, Renee's of Sharyland, and countless community members and volunteers.  Designed to be a brilliant spectacle, this educational and inspirational community art project culminated in a live bra auction at the International Museum of Arts and Sciences, on Friday, October 21. Thanks to those who attended the premier Pink Brazaar event, more than $5,000 was raised to support services provided at The Breast Care Center @ Mission Regional Medical Center.

As the Brazaar traveled throughout Hidalgo County in October, it exposed the issue of breast cancer and promoted the message of early detection with clever, creative, humorous and memorable works of arts. Many of hese works, including the first Brighton Bra, by Renee's of Sharyland, now belong to generous donors.  We wish to thank everyone who decorated and donated a bra, voted for their favorite, or bid on one at the Brazaar auction! Your contributions impact the health of our community and increase the resources available to care for community members through your nonprofit hospital.
